What happens at the survey
- We measure the room properly and note the layout constraints — window, soil pipe, door swing.
- We check the substrate: floor movement, damp, wall flatness, what is behind the tiles.
- We look at the services — where the water, waste and electrics run.
- We flag anything that affects price or schedule: notifiable work, lease conditions, asbestos risk in older properties.
- We talk through tile formats, layout and finish so the quote reflects what you actually want.
